Can’t Miss Event: The Marina Del Rey Food Truck Festival
Get ready for lunch madness because more food truck goodness is on the way for Marina Del Rey! Mark Saturday, May 11 on your calendars and stroll over to the corner of Via Marina and Tahiti Way for the 2013 Marina Del Rey Food Truck Festival. You’ll find six of the most popular food trucks in L.A. just waiting to serve you up some of their one-of-a-kind fare. Get there between 11 AM and 3 PM—and bring your appetite!
Accepted Forms of Payment: Visa, Mastercard, and cash.
Trailer Park Truck
Come and get it! Trailer Park Truck serves up downhome Chicken & Waffles, burgers, Shotgun Shells & Cheese, and PBR Onion Rings for those craving a little high-calorie decadence for lunch.
The Urban Oven
Wood-fired pizza from a food truck? Oh yes. The Urban Oven gets it right every time cooking up tasty pizza concoctions like the classic Margherita with buffalo mozzarella and the special Potato Leek Pizza with Gruyere, Yukon Potatoes, and Sea Salt in their unique wood-fueled oven. Mama Mia! It’s good.
Roll ‘N Lobster
Maine comes to L.A. with Roll N’ Lobster’s incredibly fresh seafood menu. Favorite items include the Clam Chowdah, Lobster Louie, and Lobster Slidahs, which are served on Hawaiian sweet rolls. It’s pure New England goodness for “flatlanders” like us.
Schmuck with a Truck
Nothing says lunch like a New York Deli on wheels. The Schmuck Truck dishes up some hearty food, including the Double Decker (pastrami and corned beef sandwich), a good old-fashioned Hebrew National Hot Dog, the Big Bear Burger, and the famous Schmuckwich (dark chocolate peanutbutter with banana and jelly). You’ll be feeling the New York vibes all day.
This Chinese-Mexican fusion food truck is an experience to behold with both traditional and deliciously uncommon options. If you’re feeling adventurous, try the Soy Ginger Tofu/Shrimp tacos or go with a conventional, but yummy taco, burrito, or torta. Whatever you get, you’ll be full and happy.
The S’Cream Truck
Dessert for lunch? With S’Cream Truck’s all natural, no preservatives, zero corn syrup goodies, why the heck not? Try a S’Cream Ball™ dipped in chocolate or a salted caramel S’Cream cup. They’re delectable—and perfectly acceptable lunchtime treats.
Happy eating, food truck fans!
