Springtime is thriving in Marina del Rey with perfect temps, our typical gorgeous scenery and of course, this Sunday’s holiday fun. There are some pretty excellent events happening around town to celebrate, like Heathy Spots dog-exclusive Easter Egg Play Date (fun!), but we know that the main event for a lot of us is that delightful tradition known as Easter Brunch. And as always, you have your pick of amazing Marina del Rey options, plus some great ones just minutes away. Take a look and enjoy your Sunday!

Happy National Pancake Day, Marina del Rey friends! This is your day to celebrate the delicious, starchy, “more syrup please!” miracle that is the pancake (preferably with a big ole stack at your favorite Marina breakfast spot). Since this “holiday” is actually a gigantic deal at IHOP, you’ll naturally want to head to the Marina-area location at some point today. Especially since they have a very cool charity deal tied in that makes it hard to resist (read below for details!).
But that’s not the only game in town — not even close. Because if you’re a true pancake lover, you’ll save IHOP for dinner and head to one of our quaint little (spectacular) dining destinations for a breakfast stack of homemade pancake goodness right now. Are we suggesting you have pancakes for TWO meals today? Of course we are. Consider it a National Pancake Day challenge. Are you up for it? Let’s go!

“PIE.” Just the word brings a smile to your face, doesn’t it? There’s a reason for that — pie is one of the greatest creations on the planet. And guess what? Monday (TODAY!), January 23rd is National Pie Day — aka: the day it’s almost patriotic to dive fork-first into some flaky, sweet pie goodness.
To celebrate, you’re obviously obliged to have at least one slice for yourself, but you can also honor the holiday by hosting a pie party after work, surprising friends or co-workers with a pie, giving a pie to the local fire or police station (as a thank you for their selfless work) or brush up on your pie baking skills just for the fun of it!

When you live in Marina del Rey, you are quite simply living the dream. Seriously. Gorgeous harbor views and a sweet beach, killer sunsets every night of the week, low-key tranquility you wouldn’t trade for the world, and last but not least, a location that puts you smack dab in the middle of restaurant heaven.

The jolliest time of the year is quickly approaching and while the super organized have their plans set in stone, a lot of us are furiously tapping our way through online gift guides, wrapping presents like Santa’s busiest elf and still deciding “do I cook or do I book?” Well, we happen to lean on the side of booking reservations for the holidays. Think of it this way — you’ve already shopped, wrapped and decorated — do you really want to be knee deep in dishes, too? Plus, when you consider just how many fantastic restaurants are serving up holiday and holiday eve meals in and around Marina del Rey, it’s a seriously irresistible option.
Think we’re kidding? Take a look at the spectacular list below and tell us you’d still rather go the home-cooking route (no judgment if you do — we bet your home-cooked spread will be nothing short of fabulous!). But if you’re on-board with the dining-out idea, make your reservations asap because the joy of dining-out for the holidays is kind of the worst-kept secret ever. Happy Holiday Dining, everyone!
