Sunset Magazine Features Marina del Rey in Summer 2013 Edition

Marina del Rey was recently featured as a great summer day trip in the Summer 2013 edition of Sunset Magazine, now on newsstands.  The magazine praised MDR for being “Venice’s lower-key neighbor for waterfront walks, sweet beaches, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding.” The article went on to tout the marina’s “largest man-made small-boat harbor in the world,” Mother’s Beach and a range of coastal outdoor activities, including sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding and biking.  Local businesses Blue Pacific Boating, Action WatersportsDaniels Bicycle Rentals, Bin 73 and Mendocino Farms also got shout-outs in the article.  It’s always nice to see MDR grab the spotlight, as we all know it is the star of the Westside…but what do you think?  Is Marina del Rey better as a day trip or a 365-days-a-year place to live?

TodayMarinadelRey.com Announces Blog Redesign

Like the community of Marina del Rey, TodayMarinadelRey.com has been experiencing an evolution. Since our launch in December 2010, a lot has happened—the Marina is growing by leaps and bounds; companies are opening up headquarters; farmer’s markets and food truck festivals make regular stops near our shores; hot new restaurants are cropping up left and right.  With this sea of change occurring all around us, we decided the time was right to take a look at our own blog and ask ourselves if we were still in line with our original goals of being a local resource for waterfront living and boating. After months of examination and speaking with some of our followers, we decided that TodayMarinadelRey.com needed a change too.
