Esprit Marina del Rey Reopens Chic and Sleek Pool Deck for Summer

There is nothing quite like a Marina del Rey summer. Sailboats are coasting by, barbecues are firing and pools are jam-packed with tanned beauties that are perfectly content to let their lazy days drift unceremoniously into the sunset. If you’re already an MDR resident, then you know how crucial the pool can be to your overall summertime existence. It’s where you cool off with friends and neighbors on a hot Saturday afternoon, where Fourth of July parties are had, where, you know, life generally happens from June to September. So, naturally, when a new pool deck opens in town—or shall we say “reopens”—we get excited. Like really excited.

Esprit Marina del Rey, the bastion of apartment luxe on Marquesas Way, has just unveiled a newly renovated pool deck for its residents and we gotta say—it’s pure swank. The pool deck includes new outdoor artwork, televisions, fire pits, cabanas, loungers, outdoor kitchen and a BBQ.

I mean, isn’t this breezy outdoor lounge inviting you to plop down on cushy couch and watch the World Cup games?

Or how about the fire pits? Aren’t they practically calling out for a chilled bottle of Albariño and a date by your side?

To sweeten pool life at Esprit this summer, rumor has it that there will also be food trucks parked outside Esprit every other Saturday afternoon For example, Cousins Maine Lobster Truck made an appearance just this past weekend on July 5. Other favorite trucks from Beach Eats (yet another cool summer event in Marina del Rey) may also be making an appearance down the road, reveals Libby Sill, leasing manager of Esprit Marina del Rey.

“Nothing beats a summer in Marina del Rey,” she said. “You’ve got amazing weather, amazing marina views and plenty of fun social events and activities to choose from on a weekly basis. You’ll never be bored…or landlocked! It’s all about leading a waterside lifestyle.”

In fact, you don’t ever need to leave the water on the weekends if you don’t want to. Thanks to the Marina del Rey WaterBus, which runs now through September 1, you can hop on the “bus” right at Esprit and cruise to the Marina’s major hotspots—like Fisherman’s Village and Burton Chace Park (for summer concerts on Thursdays and Saturdays, of course!). “A lot of our residents really love that feature and look forward to it all year,” said Sill. “It’s something that is completely unique to Marina del Rey.”

Yep. There is nothing quite like a Marina del Rey summer. If you don’t believe us, you’ve gotta make a trip down to the water and check it out for yourself. Don’t forget to stop by the Esprit leasing office too, so Sill can personally give you a tour of the property. Trust us—that dreamy waterside pool deck and its marina views will make you wish you called MDR “home”!
