Fourth of July 2011 Recap

Even without the big fireworks show this year, Fourth of July 2011 delivered. There was plenty of great people watching in Venice and Muscle Beach, tons of great food and drinks at the restaurants, cafes and bars on Washington Boulevard, and amazing sunshine for beach bums, sailors, surfers and yachtsman. There were even some random fireworks lighting up the night sky for the die-hard pyromaniacs…

If there’s one thing that can be gleaned from this July 4th, it’s that Independence Day in Marina del Rey is always memorable–especially since it seems to capture the spirit of summer and the laidback Southern California lifestyle.

Now that you’re back to work and recovering after the long weekend, here’s a few sights captured from yesterday to tide you over until next year:
