Snow Wonder & The Holiday Boat Parade Dazzle This Weekend

Joy is in the air, the lights are beaming and bright, and the marina is bursting with anticipation for our town’s merriest holiday tradition—Snow Wonder and the Holiday Boat Parade. Well, hold on to your jingle bells boys and girls, because it’s all happening this Saturday, December 8th! Yep, this weekend, Burton Chace Park transforms into a winter wonderland, complete with real snow, sledding and a ton of holiday cheer. Plus, when the sun goes down, fireworks will light up the sky as a dramatic introduction to the 56th Annual Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade. As one of the proud sponsors of the event, let us just say—it’s going to be epic fun…so make sure you’re there!

Ready for the details? Read on.

SNOW WONDER runs from noon to 6pm on Saturday at Burton Chace Park. The free event features a sledding hill with real snow, arts & crafts, face painting, a live DJ and a slew of your favorite food trucks!

FIREWORKS start promptly at 5:55pm and will dazzle right up to the start of the boat parade.

THE HOLIDAY BOAT PARADE begins at 6pm with the Grand Marshal (Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn) getting the festivities underway. Boat decorations will be inspired by a “Holiday Water Wonderland” theme and we can’t wait to see the creativity unfold from this year’s participants. Between 40 and 50 boats will circle the main channel until 8pm—so sit back and enjoy the show!

PRIME SPOTS to see the fireworks and parade are either in Burton Chace Park or Fisherman’s Village (pro tip: reserve an outdoor table at Whiskey Red’s or El Torito and you won’t miss a thing!). If you live at a gorgeous waterfront community like Esprit, you’ll also get a spectacular view.

Will we see you at Snow Wonder and the annual Boat Parade on Saturday? It’s going to be so much fun…don’t miss it!
