Anyone looking for something super fun to do this weekend, thank your lucky stars right now. Because two of the springs best events are on the agenda — Marina Fest on Saturday and Sunday, plus the Venice Spring Fling on Saturday. We know, that’s a whole lot of shenanigans to fit into one weekend. But you can do it! We have confidence.

Now, let’s see exactly what’s in store for you. Keep reading…

MARINA FEST & BOAT SHOW AT BURTON CHACE PARK — MAY 20TH & 21ST
13650 Mindanao Way

This is the weekend Marina del Rey shines with SO MUCH HAPPENING at Burton Chace Park. Admission for the actual festival is $10 for adults and complimentary for children, but there will also be some free side events for everyone (like the Historic Boat Tours, which are really cool). On both Saturday and Sunday, you can ooooh and ahhhhh at some gorgeous boats at the in-water boat show, plus you’ll enjoy live music, a DJ, more than 40 exhibitors, activities for the kids, food trucks, and a wine & beer garden for the grown-ups. If you come Sunday, make sure to check out the Classic Car Show in the lot. Marina Fest Hours are: Saturday 11 am to 8 pm/Sunday 11 am to 5 pm.

7TH ANNUAL VENICE SPRING FLING — MAY 20TH
Windward Plaza Park — 1 Windward Ave.

The peace-inspired, community-style Venice Spring Fling is back by the boardwalk, and for music and art lovers, it’s a really snazzy way to spend your Saturday. As always, it’s 100% free (hurray!) and kicks off with a high-energy Samba and Dance parade down Ocean Front Walk — and yes, you’ll definitely want to join in the groove. From there, there will be fantastic line-up of musical talent, professional dancers, artists, poets and more. And if you’re hungry, just grab a bite at the feisty Sidewalk Café!
